What it is

Optional temporary-chat controls that can use existing memories, custom instructions, and plugins without creating new memories, plus a control for saving the conversation as a regular chat.

Why use it

Use it when you want a conversation kept out of chat history by default but still want familiar instructions, connected tools, or memory context for that specific chat.

How to use it

When starting a temporary chat, choose whether to enable personalization; this choice cannot be changed after the conversation begins. Leave personalization off when you do not want memory, custom instructions, or plugins used. If the chat becomes worth keeping, save it to convert it into a regular chat governed by your account settings.
